ComGro Director Adam Harris believes that community groups play a vital role in the local community.  Each providing relationship, support and necessary services to many people, contributing to the overall wellbeing of the community. 

 

A common challenge for each group is generating the funds to ensure their contribution continues year by year.

 

In 2008, Adam began assisting with community group fundraising through providing Christmas trees for groups to on-sell.  This seasonal fundraiser grew rapidly and now sells over 4000 trees within the Auckland area alone, generating income each year for community groups throughout Auckland. 

 

During this time Adam designed a Christmas Tree stand which matched the functionality of many leading stands and would go on to generate more income for the community groups he was working with.  

 

Following its introduction in 2014, the ComGro Christmas Tree Stand is available from a number of community groups and retailers around New Zealand, as well as being introduced to the European and USA markets.

 

Whilst ComGro's key focus remains on Community Group frundraising, Adam has also added a focus on wholesale to the retail sector.  It is hoped that this will enable ComGro to keep prices down on the products it supplies to community groups, and in turn further assist them in their fundraising efforts.

 

Adam continues his annual travel overseas to look for more products to assist Community Groups in the important task of raising funds.
